Natalya Reese Ortiz

Well here she is weighing in at 9lbs. 1oz. 19.5 inches long.........
Natalya Reese Ortiz born August 21st at 5:55pm via Cesarean. We are home now, we came home Saturday, and so far so good. She sleeps better here then at the hospital and we've been breastfeeding as best we can. I'm still waiting for the full milk load to arrive but until then she's been making do with what I've got. I feed her more often because she had lost alot of weight before we left the hospital, so they recommend feeding her as much as possible. By the time we left the hospital she was about 8lbs. but she eats really well so we'll see at her Dr. appointment if she gaining weight. As far as myself, I'm hangin' in there, still pretty sore but I'm getting around. They let me go home a day early because I was getting around so well. We ended up going in to the hospital a day early at 10am Thursday because I started leaking and I had to go to get monitored to make sure it wasn't amniotic fluid. When they checked, I was already fully effaced and 3 cm dilated so they decided to keep me in the hospital and do the c-section at 5:30pm. She was out not too long later and everything has been good. She defiantly sleeps alot more then Maddie that's for sure and, thank god, Knock on wood, she doesn't seem to be colicky either!! Madalynn seems to be adjusting well. she had a couple rough days because eveything had been thrown off a day, so she ended up with a couple days of either no nap or a very short one, so we're all getting back on track now and hopefully everything will be fine. My wonderful mom is here for the week and helping me out while Mark will return to work Monday night. I'm very thankful for her being here, she helps me out so much!
